MGH Research Scholars

The MGH Research Scholars program was established with the aim of supporting outstanding MGH research faculty who are pursuing basic, translational, or clinical research at the level of Assistant and Associate Professor. Full Professors are no longer eligible to apply. Applicants who are promoted to Professor after the application deadline are still eligible for the award.

These awards are for $500,000 over five years; and will be funded at $100,000 per year, including 20% indirect costs. Recipients of these awards will be appointed MGH Research Scholars.

Qualified applicants should have a proven track record in external peer reviewed funding and should demonstrate innovative ideas in their chosen field.
