Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC)
The MGH Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting is a two-day event that celebrates key accomplishments of MGH investigators and examines strategies for meeting the challenges currently facing the academic biomedical research community at Mass General.
This year, MGH is holding their 72nd Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting on April 7 & 8, 2021. The theme of SAC this year will be COVID Lessons Learned: Scientific and Community Impact.
The event starts off with a virtual Scientific Poster Session that highlights the ongoing research at MGH followed by a virtual Celebration of Science. During this time, we will present awards for the 2021 Martin Prizes for Clinical and Fundamental Research and the 2021 Goodman Fellowship.
The second day of the SAC meeting, Thursday, April 8, will be the formal meeting. We will begin with a morning session that focuses on the impact of COVID-19 on population and health care delivery scientists. The afternoon session will focus on the innovative science that took place and continues in our institution in response to COVID. It is during this afternoon session between 1-2pm that you will participate as a panelist in a session on will be moderated by Dr. Galit Alter. The program provides an engaging and stimulating day of discussions. We greatly appreciate the MGH research community’s participation and are especially grateful for the participation and the leadership of the SAC members (listed below) who make each year’s meeting a productive and successful event.
We hope to see you there!
