Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC)

 

The MGH Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting is a two-day event that celebrates key accomplishments of MGH investigators and examines strategies for meeting the challenges currently facing the academic biomedical research community at Mass General.
 
This year, MGH is holding their 73rd Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting on March 29 & 30, 2023. The theme of SAC this year will be The Adoption of Novel Technologies in the Practice of Medicine: Digital Health and AI.
 
The event starts off with a virtual Scientific Poster Session that highlights the ongoing research at MGH followed by a Celebration of Science on Wednesday, March 29. During this time, we will present awards for the 2023 Martin Prizes and the 2023 Goodman Fellowship. This meeting will take place at the Simches Research Center Auditorium, room 3.110.
 
The second day of the SAC meeting, Thursday, March 30,  will be the formal meeting.  This meeting will also take place in the Simches Research Center Auditorium, room 3.110. We will begin with a morning session that focuses on The Power of AI to Transform Health Care. The afternoon session will focus on real word example and also Novel Technologies. It is during this afternoon session between 2:15-2:45 pm that you will participate as a panelist in a session on will be moderated by Dr Collin Stultz, MD, PhD.  The program provides an engaging and stimulating day of discussions. We greatly appreciate the MGH research community’s participation and are especially grateful for the participation and the leadership of the SAC members (listed below) who make each year’s meeting a productive and successful event.
