Howard M. Goodman Fellowship

This is an endowed fellowship established by the MGH Department of Molecular Biology in honor of the founding Chief of the Department, Dr. Howard M. Goodman. The award is intended to further the career of outstanding independent young scientists who have demonstrated the potential to rise to a leadership position in their chosen field.   Applicants who hold a full-time appointment in any MGH Department and are primarily engaged in research, are eligible to apply. The applicant needs to have demonstrated clear independence and would normally hold the position of Assistant Professor or have been an Instructor for a period of time with a demonstrable independent publication record.


Two awards per year will be made.

Each award is for two years at $100,000 direct costs per year, plus 20% relevant indirect costs.
