Center for Human Genetic Research

The Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Human Genetic Research is a multidisciplinary cross departmental center with the central mission of facilitating the genetic research cycle.

The research projects carried out by investigators in the Center for Human Genetic Research touch every stage of the genetic research cycle. Every project begins with the participation of patients and their families and progresses through this cycle.

Our faculty believes that understanding the fundamental disease mechanism and identification of modifier genes can lead to improved diagnostic capacity, better disease management and the development of rational treatments.

Our center is housed in 60,000 square feet of wet lab, dry lab, office and clinic space in the Richard B. Simches Research Center.
